I've gotten to where I rarely get on Facebook anymore. So, here's mine...

I'm a Pit Bull parent, and I don't know what I'd do without my Henry. He's such a lovey 60lb cuddle monster. Playful, smart, tolerant. He has his own spinbrush toothbrush, and loves to have his nails filed (falls asleep upside down in my lap). He actually seems to enjoy watching tv (and not just animal planet). He quickly learns new tricks, loves to show off, and LOVES LOVES LOVES when people come to visit.

There's noting better than coming home from work to be greeted by a rooroorooing smiley piggy with a helicopter tail.

I'm going to be like everyone else and say, "I'm a Pit Bull parent and proud of it!" I'm not really sure how I lived before having a Pit Bull. I had friends that had them but I never had a connection with them. Then I rescued my Abi girl. Now I look forward to her welcoming me home, snuggling with her, and all that good stuff. Unfortuantly I moved away and I couldn't take her. Not because of her temperament but because of her hip dysplasia. But now I come home once a week to see her and my family.

I'm a new pit bull parent and I'm nervous. I didn't know the dog I was getting was a pit bull. The couple told me that they had found this starving puppy about 4 months ago and it had some "bull dog" in it. The dog is absolutely beautiful and very friendly with me and my children but snarls and growls at neighbors and anyone who walks by my fence.I'm kind of scarred and don't think I would have taken the dog had I known it was a pit.

I do not think you should be afraid that your dog growls at ur neighbors through your fence... It's a dog.. That's what they dog! It's sad to hear you say you don't think you should have taken the dog bc "it's a pitbull." Its how you raise your dog. I have a now 1 year old pit and she's my life and would not hurt anyway. The most harm she would do is lick u to death. Yes, she barks and ppl and other dogs.. But if u introduce her to them all she wants is to play or a friendly pet from u. I hope you kept the dog and realized how great pits really are. :)
